Non-Canadians and York's Hiring Process

Committees should be aware of changes in the Federal Government's
regulations concerning non-Canadians and the hiring process.
It should be
emphasized that there is nothing in the HRDC Guidelines or YUFA's current
(2003-06) Collective Agreement that requires hiring units to advertise in
the United States or internationally, or that requires units to consider
hiring non-Canadians.

been superseded in this regard by the new, 2003-06 Collective Agreement:
