Events in May

28 Apr 11 - YUFA members are enthusiastically invited to attend and participate in the following two events:

  1. York’s May Day event, 2 May 2011, Vari Hall Rotunda, 11 am – 2 pm. Further details concerning this event are accessible here.
     

  2. Symposium in the Senate Chamber: "Real Solutions for Real Problems", 25 May 2011, 10 am – 4 pm.

    Topics include:

  • Communication Strategies for Activists / Unionists

  • Bargaining Strategies

  • Combating the Zero-Waste Initiative

  • Getting to the Root of the Employer's "Better Workplace Initiative"

As well, York’s All-Campus Union Coalition is organizing a BBQ at the Orange Snail in conjunction with this event at noon 25 May. We really need to know who will be in attendance and more importantly, how many people from each local and / or union. We would appreciate a RSVP to YUFA’s VP External, Livy Visano: lavisano@yorku.ca.
