Article 4
Dues Check-off
4.01
The Employer shall, once in each month during the life of this
Agreement, deduct from the salary of each member of the bargaining unit,
such fees, monthly dues, or assessments as may be authorized from time
to time by the Association and certified
in writing to the Employer by the
Association.
4.02
The Employer
shall remit the amounts deducted to the Association no later than
fifteen (15) days after the deductions have been made, and shall inform
the Association monthly of the names and ranks of employees from whose
salaries deductions have been made, and the amounts so deducted from
each employee’s salary.
4.03
In the event
that the Association receives dues hereunder on account of an employee
who is excluded from the bargaining unit, or if on account of a member
of the bargaining unit, but in excess of the amount required, the
Association agrees to reimburse the employee for or credit him/her with,
as the case may be, the amount involved. The Association shall indemnify
and save harmless the Employer against any action arising out of the
wrongful deductions of money for Association dues resulting from the
Association’s instructions.
4.04
The Employer
agrees to indicate the amount of the Association’s deductions on each
employee’s T-4 slip. |
