18 Jun 10 - The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) was passed in 2005 and is focused on rendering Ontario 'barrier free' to persons with disabilities by 2025.

Implementation of the AODA is phased in. This year, universities are required to provide training on the ‘Customer Service Accessibility Standard', compliance with which is now in effect. The Customer Service Accessibility Standard focuses on how to provide goods and services to persons with disabilities. Training for all staff and faculty at York University is required by law.

The e-learning module for full-time faculty training is now available. You are directed by the Employer to log on at your earliest convenience to complete the training. All you need to access the module is your Passport York account.
