2009 Membership Questionnaire Coming to your Inbox this Fall

Dear YUFA Members,
It will soon be negotiations time again and YUFA is seeking your input. Sometime in September, look for a questionnaire, arriving through your email, to be completed online. If you truly cannot stand to do these things online, it will also be available in hard copy format.
It is a different questionnaire than you’ve seen in previous rounds of negotiations. As well as being online, it will be shorter. We hope this will encourage more of you to respond so we can more fully understand the memberships’ priorities. Your answers will remain confidential unless you wish us to use your name in quoting any comments you may provide. You will be given a clear opportunity to make this decision.
The results of this questionnaire will be made public after the successful completion of negotiations. In most cases, you will be asked to rank items from 1 to 10, where 1 means “Not At All Important” and 10 means “Very Important”. All of this will be explained carefully in the questionnaire. This letter is simply to let you know what will be coming in the Fall, and to let you know what your Contract Review Committee (CRC) has been working on.
We have also held three meetings for the membership to bring ideas, suggestions, and questions about bargaining. In addition, you are invited to email the Committee now and throughout the coming year with concerns and suggestions to improve the Collective Agreement.
