YUFA members have voted 84% in favour of accepting the 15th Collective Agreement, and 16% voted against. Voting took place on the 4th and 5th of September. 376 members voted in total.

The Executive had recommended the tentative settlement to the members on 8th August. The parties reached the settlement on 2nd August after 2-1/2 months of bargaining.

This money will be paid out in members' October pay cheques, which will include the raises incorporated into your base salary, plus a lump sum payment for the intervening months (May-September).

The Collective Agreement will be effective until 30 April 2003.

RESULTS OF THE VOTE:

"YES" votes - 315 (84%)
