Sign Up for Labour Day Parade
24 Jul 06 – YUFA recently received an invitation to
join other local Toronto and York Region labour unions in the Labour Day
Parade on Monday, 4 September 2006. If you are interested in marching in
the parade and representing YUFA, please contact YUFA
(yufa@yorku.ca or 416-736-5236) by Tuesday, 1 August, at the latest.
This year's theme is "A Million Reasons To Vote" stressing the importance of voting in free democratic elections. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. from the corner of Queen Street and University Avenue, proceeding west along Queen Street to Dufferin Street, south on Dufferin to the CNE, and past the Reviewing Stand inside the Dufferin Gate. Parade marchers gain free admission into the CNE that day.
